Khupe changes party name to MDC Alliance

Power struggles in Zimbabwe’s opposition MDC party took a turn on Saturday after Dr Thokozani Khupe’s faction announced that its candidates in impending council and parliamentary by-elections will contest under the MDC Alliance. In early 2020, the Supreme Court declared Dr Khupe legitimate party leader, and this left Advocate Nelson Chamisa to lead a faction going by the name MDC Alliance.

At the MDC’s 21st anniversary in the capital, Harare, on Saturday, Chairperson of Dr Khupe’s faction Morgen Komichi said “from today, we are the MDC Alliance”. He told supporters: “The Alliance agreement is very clear that its leader is from the MDC and that person is Thokozani Khupe. That’s the name we will use in the upcoming by-elections.” The Chamisa-led faction immediately took to micro-blogging site Twitter. “We are the MDC Alliance. We contested the 2018 election as the MDC Alliance under the presidency of Nelson Chamisa. “Our members were unlawfully recalled on account of being members of the MDC Alliance. This battle will be settled politically.”

Thanks for the strategies you write about through this website. In addition, several young women that become pregnant never even aim to get health insurance coverage because they are full of fearfulness they wouldn’t qualify. Although many states right now require that insurers supply coverage irrespective of the pre-existing conditions. Prices on all these guaranteed options are usually bigger, but when taking into consideration the high cost of medical treatment it may be your safer way to go to protect the financial future.

Thanks for your publication. One other thing is always that individual states have their particular laws that affect home owners, which makes it very, very hard for the our elected representatives to come up with a fresh set of rules concerning foreclosure on householders. The problem is that a state provides own regulations which may interact in an unwanted manner on the subject of foreclosure insurance policies.
