Harare – IMPALA Car Rental has said it will file a police report against the individual who hired a Ford Ranger (AES 2433) implicated in the abduction and torture of 22-year-old journalism student Tawanda Muchehiwa.
IMPALA CEO Thompson Dube told journalist Elias Mambo that the company was yet to receive a request for information from the police.
“We have the name and address of the person who hired the vehicle and we are ready to share it with relevant authorities … We are waiting and tomorrow if no one comes then we are going to make a police report,” Dube said.
The vehicle was used in abduction of ZimLive editor Mduduzi Mathuthu’s nephew in the 30th of July who suffered torture from alleged State agents as Mnangagwa regime goes after Government critics.
In recent weeks over thirty (30) people have been arrested or detained for voicing over rampant corruption in the Mnangagwa government as the economy continues to plunges nearing 840% inflation as well as over 7 million people facing hunger in a study by the World Food Program (WFP).
